AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence
Major AI conference covering all areas of artificial intelligence. Two-column format with specific style requirements.

About the AAAI Template
AAAI (Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence) is one of the oldest and most respected AI conferences. AAAI covers the full breadth of artificial intelligence including search, planning, knowledge representation, machine learning, NLP, computer vision, robotics, and multiagent systems.
AAAI 2026 was held in Singapore (January 20–27, 2026). AAAI-27 will be held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada (February 16–23, 2027). Submissions closed July 28, 2026 (abstracts July 21). Main-track notifications are scheduled for November 30, 2026, with camera-ready papers due December 14, 2026; the AAAI-27 author kit includes the camera-ready template (CameraReady2027.tex) and the aaai2027 bibliography style. The AAAI-28 call for papers is expected in summer 2027.
The AAAI LaTeX template uses a two-column format with a 7-page limit for the main content, with separate unlimited pages for references. Authors must use the official AAAI style file and bibliography style from the author kit. The template includes specific formatting requirements that differ slightly from IEEE and ACM formats.
The conference has grown significantly in recent years, with thousands of submissions covering both theoretical foundations and practical applications of AI. The author kit is available as a downloadable zip file.
