About the IJCAI Template
IJCAI (International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence) is the premier international gathering of AI researchers. First held in 1969, IJCAI is one of the oldest AI conferences and covers the full spectrum of artificial intelligence research.
IJCAI-ECAI 2026 will be held in Bremen, Germany (August 15–21, 2026), with workshops and tutorials on August 15–17 and the main conference on August 18–21. This edition combines forces with the European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI).
The IJCAI LaTeX template uses a two-column format with a unique page structure: 7 pages for the main body and 2 additional pages exclusively for references, totaling 9 pages maximum. The author kit including LaTeX styles and Word templates is available from the official IJCAI website.
The conference accepts papers across all areas of AI including search, reasoning, planning, knowledge representation, machine learning, NLP, vision, robotics, and multi-agent systems.
The IJCAI 2027 host will be announced at the 2026 conference; check ijcai.org for the next call for papers, with the deadline expected around January 2027 based on recent cycles.
