About the ACM SIGCONF Template

The ACM conference proceedings template uses the acmart (ACM Article) document class, which is the unified template for all ACM publications. The sigconf option produces the standard two-column conference proceedings format used by SIGMOD, KDD, SIGCOMM, SOSP, SIGIR, WWW, and many other ACM conferences.

The acmart class supports multiple format options: sigconf for conference proceedings, manuscript for submission review, and other variants for journals and extended abstracts. Submissions typically use \documentclass[sigconf,review,anonymous]{acmart} for double-blind review.

ACM uses TAPS (The ACM Publishing System) for final publication. After acceptance, authors upload their LaTeX source to TAPS, which generates the final PDF and an HTML5 version. The system enforces consistent formatting across all ACM publications and produces the characteristic ACM Reference Format citations.

Upcoming acmart deadlines: the ACM Web Conference 2027 (WWW 2027) has papers due October 18, 2026 (abstracts October 11, both AoE) ahead of the conference on May 10–14, 2027 in Dublin, Ireland. KDD 2027 (San Jose, August 2027) runs two submission cycles; Cycle 1 closed July 26, 2026 and Cycle 2 is expected around February 2027.
